Debate Club UTP

Debate Club UTP was established in March 2005 by its founder, Mohd Shafiq Fhadly bin Mahmud together with Abu Hanifah and Muhammad Husairil. Many activities and events have been organized. Among them are debate classes for new debaters, debate training as preparations for competitions, and most grand internal debate competition Debat Piala Rektor.

From its vision in creating the culture debate inside the campus, Debate Club UTP has now further initiatives by publishing this website and a blog. By having these two virtual-communication mechanisms, Debate Club UTP hopes can attract more students to join the club and communicate with them easily.

For all students, if you are not debaters, do not think that this club is not suitable for you. We accept all students to join the club and we will teach not just about debate but also about communication and interpersonal skills which are vital in the job market later on. So, you have no reason not to join us!
